Last bottle and it’s a pitty. Needed 1 hour to really open up. Quite a traditional, “masculine” Hermitage in way of fierce acidity. Very complex and a nice smooth, well balanced finish.

Drank over 2 days. The bottle showed best on day 2. In the glass dark purple with a slight brownish edge. Light nose. On the palate red fruit, herbs, earth. The finish is slightly dry, tannic, herbal and indeed a bit dusty (@Zweder). Very nice to drink. I’ll keep my remaining bottle 1-2 years longer.

Weekly tasting group #082; Diploma Course example (@ WW): The bouquet shows ripe dark fruits and is a bit dusty as well. Dark cherries on the palate as well as some earthy impressions. Good balance between acidity and sweetness. Round tannin. Early maturity now.

Weekly tasting group #106; A mixed set of red wines. (@ My place): Creamy red fruits and some butter in the bouquet. On the palate also creamy and round. Garrigue. Ok fruits, medium acidity and tannin and firm bitterness in the finish. Early maturity now.
