Pretty fuggy and mushroomy on the nose; bright fruits wrapped around leather, earth and dirt on the palate. Finish is a little bit diluted. This wine exhibits the secondary characteristics of a 20 year old petit chateau Claret which is just hanging on, yet also maintains some of the fruitiness of a younger new world equivalent. Tasting pretty aged now but will still provoke thought, if not cause immediate gratification, for a couple of years yet.

Getting too old for my taste. Fruit is still there, very ripe, but the structure has already changed, with acidity over the flavours. It was much better with food, but that sort of ripe aromas mixed with the hints of tertiary ones kinda feels weird. We shall see what happens with the other two bottles I still have.
