  • Plummy, slightly cooked nose - probably a badly treated bottle. However, the palate was decent enough although a little acidic, dull and flat. Unmemorable.

  • This wine was popped and poured as a "bonus" following our Friday tasting at Vintage Wines, Ltd. The tasters contributed to the purchase of the bottle, which was popped and poured, then serially tasted over the ensuing thirty minutes. The robe was medium garnet/amber and the nose initially showed very intense aromas of smoke, cherry, tobacco and mocha. Alas, as the saying goes, beauty is fleeting...the nose died after twenty minutes. The palate, light, crisp and with melted tannins, was pleasant until the nose died. Thereafter, the wine's overall appeal was lost. My score reflects this wine being served in the proper context, that being a "one course wonder." Drink now-12/13.
