Opened from a magnum. Yellow color. The nose had ripe apple, nuts, and sulphur. The palate was intense and nutty but very upfront. Not much complexity on the backend. Drink up. A below par jadot demoiselle.

Jadot Chevalier-Montrachet "Demoiselles" Vertical 1989-2004 (Spring - Chicago IL): Much like the 95 and 96 paired in the first flight, this 1998 and the 2000 in the next glass showed similarities but were just at different class/quality levels. This 1998 showed nice fruit and good acidity to start. However there wasn't as much minerality as in other vintages tonight. Good fruit, but short and simple finish.
