  On the initial pop (which is absolutely how one should enjoy this beauty), the nose shows golden apple, some marshmallow, and caramelized brown sugar. On the palate, you have the extract that comes from slow pressing and further concentration from over 30 years in bottle. This example had perfect persistent acidity. It held up well over 4-5 hours and started to flatten out around that time. A sincere treat.

  Clean and light of foot. Some minerality. Acid beginning to fade.

  Belated note. Rich golden in color. Full and forward on the nose, but a bit disappointing in that it lacks real complexity or excitement. Round with decent fruit on the palate, but slightly fat. Not bad, but just not great and perhaps becoming a bit tired.
