3rd batch. First bottle was in Sep-2012. Tastes like a fairly generic but above average Bordeaux/claret/meritage. Solid depth, tannins, and ability to stand up to food (lamb sausage, steak, non-tomato pasta, cheese, beef burgers – that I can remember). Elicited “tasty” comments at an outdoor party where there were several other $8-$15 reds. So for well under $10 – this is a very very nice wine. I now have 2 cases to get me through the winter . My rating is for “overall value”

I am hoping that I can revise later in a couple years. I think that the overall value of this wine is there. 10 dollars for decent Bordeaux. I opened this and let it decant for about 1.5 hours. Then began drinking. At first, extremely tannic(as expected) nose was very tight, short to medium finish, seemed uncertain almost confused on what the wine wanted to be. after 4 hours of decanting, it mellowed and there was more fruit up front, with red currant and black pepper. Dash of strawberry and the finish lengthened a bit with a more fruity finish than intially done. I have 1 case, great vintage to crack open in a 5 years and have on any occasion.

not much on the nose and the taste was lacking any depth.

Almost one year after purchase it has faded fast. This bottle was close to undrinkable. If you have this wine, drink now, it will not get better.
