This wine has grip, and that's the best characteristic it puts out. The fruit is there, black fruits to be precise, but they taper off quickly as the tannins dominate the finish. The problem with this wine, as most have deduced, is the identity in the flavor profile. It's a little generic. But the grip! Gives it the thumbs mostly up.
This is a wine I expect as a generic red table wine at a higher end restaurant.
More purple than I expect for a 75% cab sauv dominant blend. Perfume, cherry, and earthy nose. Has that single note young cab cherry heavy palate to it. Meduim-full bodied. Grippy tannins. Medium long oak dominant finish. Overall a big and young wine.
The wine is utterly forgettable. Put into a decanter or carafe and serve with dinner and all you will remember is you had a red to go along with it. Pay a few bucks more and get a Substance CS or one of the many other inexpensive and better Bordeauxs available at Costco.
