  Similar to previous notes but at 16% alcohol this benefited from air and a cooler cellar temp. The oak is integrated but still present. The spice is a mix of India meets a coffee factory. This would be a great wine for someone trying to identify flavors. Nothing would be wrong. I’ve saved this wine a few years but it will outlive me and I’m54 and in good health.

  Peak Spanish Grenache. Chocolate covered cherries, cinnamon, clove, thyme, rose, and wet forest leaves. Medium weight with only a slight tannic bite. We decanted for 90 minutes and the wine sang really well for another 90 minutes after the first pour. It began to flatten out after that, suggesting this is a wine to enjoy now.
