Plenty of life left after 19 years. Consumed with a very Italian meal of eggplant parm, gnocchi, and meatballs. Cherry and chocolate, muted unsurprisingly given the age. A treat

earth and dried cherries. I believe this is mostly nebbiolo and some barbera. Really beautiful. Some supple oak notes which mesh well with this full bodied fragrance shop of a wine.

World's longest cork. Decanted, had a good bit of fine sediment. For being 10 years old, it still tasted very youthful...lots of fruit accompanied by decent acidity. Great to drink on it's own or with food (We had it with Mario's Bolognese sauce and it was fantastic). Loved the cherry-berry combination, plus a bit of dark chocolate and cinnamon. For about $30, a definite recommend.

This wine aged so well. All the elements were there for a close to perfect glass. I was enjoying dinner too much to write notes about this wine, so my rating will have to do. If you have this bottle, drink it. I think it only has a year or two left. What a nice treat! www.MusicAndWines.com

Dusty, dirty, acidic, mineral, black cherry, smoked raspberry, rustic, not much fun.
