  I thought the wine was quite good. Drank way above it price point. Interesting blend of many grapes. Definitely had some life left in it.

  Deep red color. Decanted for one hour from magnum. Dark cherry, fruit on palate. Long finish. The 2009 is beautifully balanced and in a great spot. The best has subsided, and Matt Dees crafted a wonderful blend!

  From notes in 2015:"Medium/dark purple color. Nose had some funk and a little heat when first opened, consistent with prior notes. Nose more expressive than last bottle (from memory) - dark fruits, cherry, spices, cloves. The nose softens and adds nuance as it opened. Palate of black and blue fruit, blueberry, plums, cinnamon. Full and chewy mouthfeel but not overdone..."
  
  Wine has softened from memory. Not picking up the heat, fruits still very expressive. Black and blue fruit persists through the mid palate, baking spices still there. Less exuberant now - in a good spot, would drink over the next 1-3 years.

  Must be some bottle variation. This bottle was fresh, fruity, lovely. My previous bottle was dull but not corked. It is unquestionably ready, so drink up.
