A cross between rich California fruit and the more savory emphasis of the Northern Rhone. A touch of heat starting out but blew off, loved it especially second night after pumping.

Youthful purple/garnet. Focused aromas of black currant fruit, blackberries, creme de cassis, meat, licorice, vanilla, and anise. The palate is polished, structured, and seamless, bursting with succulent fruit, spice, and a laser beam of acidity. Supple tannins, crisp minerality, and nice length. Outstanding. 93++

Lighter balanced style. Seems more northern rhone than california. Brooding nose, with some smoke, bacon fat, red fruit and spice. Nice primary red fruits with some spice and tannins. Really good wine. Not my style, but I can appreciate it.
