  Dark reddish-purple in color; almost opaque. Full, forward & assertive nose of rich, ripe fruit aromas of dark cherries, blackberries & black plums with overtones of spices, pepper, herbal notes of mint/anise, some floral notes, earthy/dusty, minerals, some cocoa & oak/vanilla in the background. Full bodied with a very good concentration of well balanced & smooth textured, somewhat jammy, ripe fruit flavors of dark cherries, blackberries & dark plums with herbs, spices, minerals & oak/vanilla. Drinks quite well at present with decanting & extended airing but definitely needs additional aging to fully develop. A deep, intense and powerful wine.
