typical polished Fourrier style, but quite hollow in the mid-palate and no real length to speak of. A pretty wine with food, but certainly nothing to write home about. Certainly not worth the price of entry.

Interesting wine and admittedly I am a big fan of Fourrier so take that into account if you’re not (if you’re not, you might want to rethink your opinions, but I digress..). Surprised to see this much stem on a 2010 but it’s not excessive and the fruit is so dark and rich that the stem seems to add freshness rather than mar the fruit. Not super bullish about the prospects for this, but I also would be the last to deny that this is an eminently enjoyable wine now. So enjoy it. Now (and maybe over the next 10 years?).

Nice dark fruits with impressive texture & balance, some nice light spice too boot. Outperformed my expectations. Drink now

La Paulée de New York: Vertical Tasting (Colicchio & Sons - New York NY): Tasting. Red and black fruit aromas with background spice. Bold fruit with good intensity to start and great elegance and finesse from middle to end. Best of the 07/09/10 vertical.

La Paulée de New York 2013 Verticals Tasting (Colicchio & Sons, New York): This takes it up a notch or two from the 2007 and 2009, wonderfully fresh vibrant nose, the minerals really come out on this wine, lovely structure, bright, pure, vibrant fruit, nice length. A real winner.
