initially served too warm but the nose had lots of marmalade and honey. Palate was originally a little flat and short, but this got much better after an hour, showing more body and more depth. Also some candied pineapple. After 3 hours still showing some straw and toasty notes.

Fresh and crisp nose of lemon zest and developed brioche notes. Not overly oxidative or otherwise advanced. Palate packed ripe apple and pear flavours and retained firm effervescence. Not the most complex wine but certainly good and very pleasurable to drink. Have been let down by some of these random old artist series in the past and this was a nice surprise.

Expressive nose that right out of the bottle leaned to a more yeasty and almost oxidized style. The palate is a sharp contrast with concentrated and expressive notes of lemon zest and mulled limes. Surprisingly carbonic, the mouthfeel is borderline intense, in contrast to its age. Definitely time to drink, but overall showed well.
