The structural elements have done their work and the resulting wine has a harmonious combination of primary and tertiary elements with a blue to black fruit profile. That being said, you can tell the inherent limitations of PS compared to other ageworthy red grapes and I'm going to accelerate consumption out of the cellar in order to catch the primary fruit in fuller bloom.

Decanted 1hr, cellared almost 9 years to the day. Prime example of a rustic, fruit driven California PS, simply a pleasure to drink. Happy new year!!

Has aged well and can go many years (not sure to 2036). Full bodied, rich, complex dark blue and red fruit, big finish.
