Gettin much more mature. Dark yellow-orange color. Nose of brown sugar, wax and brown apples. Similar taste with brown apple, pear, slight bitter nuttiness, fuller bodied mouthfeel than before, but still very strong acid.

Another tremendous showing from this Jura chardonnay. Pineapple, oil, honey and salt aromas. The palate shows lovely peach and pineapple fruit, but the acid and minerals are so powerful and attention-grabbing. A great combination of bold flavors and zingy acid.

Light and crisp unoaked chardonnay. Quite nice with a really expressive fruit basket nose. The taste was again, fruity (exotic mainly), but had a stony minerality/salinity that I really liked.

Jura Wines at Weygandt (Weygandt Wines - Washington, D.C.): I tasted this blind with Peter Weygandt and knew it was going to be something unique. Sure enough, it is. Light yellow color. Ripe pineapple leads the way on the nose, but there's also an aroma like olive oil and salt. The palate starts off quite fruity and ripe, with white peach and pineapple. A second later, the acid comes ripping in, followed by a saline aspect. The effect is a bold but balanced wine. There is complexity packed into this wine that needs years to evolve. I'd love to put some of these sideways for 10+ years and see what happens.
