  Village 2010-tasting (short note)
  Very Pinot-typical. Quite prominent oak. Sandalwood, strawberry, indish spices. Gentle and generous. Very good now.

  Lovely, beautiful, deep, fruit and berry-generous nose with violets, raspberries, gunpowder, mineral. Acutually very generous, albeit a bit oaky.
  Medium-fullish tight, concentrated palate. Very good grip and fruit. Raspberries, strawberries, oak, nuts, gunpowder and after a while typical Gevrey iron-minerality. Long finish. Structure and balance. Once again - 2010 - super vintage!
  Tasted blind against 3 NZ Pinot this was not very hard to pick. A credit to the NZ that some of them stood the test with this very good Burg.

  Un joli gevrey village sur le fruit, avec quelques notes d'élevage perceptibles. La bouche est fraîche, généreuse et possède de beaux tanins et quelques notes minérales. Le vin est d'une bonne longueur pour un cru de ce niveau (compte tenu du prix très respectable également). On sent par contre que le vin est un peu sur la retenue et qu'il en donnerait davantage d'ici quelques années.

  Young, generous nose with sweet cherries, lightly, elegantly oaky, spices, some ginger. After a while a small lingering minerally earthiness appears. Very nice. Will develop.
  A very nice fruitiness on the palate. And at the same time impeccable balance. Good grip and elegance. Red fruits, cherries, great spicyness. Very Pinot. The finish is a little bit short.
  A very good performance for a village wine in a vintage that seems to combine succeulent fruit with elegance. In 3-5 years I expect some sous-bois appear.

  A little reductive and closed - some nice rich fruit underneath; lovely elegant palate, great balance, a real core of rich fruit. Has the concentration of 2010. Very textural. Pretty fruits - expressive. Long. 92+
