There is a slight brick rim, but otherwise the colour is surprisingly youthful. Intense nose of lightly poached red and dark fruit, some black tea, a touch of savoury notes. In the mouth succulent texture, medium body, lightly dusty tannins. A little marvel, very pretty, now singing.

This is very solid, real deal burgundy. Cherry fruit, wild herbs and spice. Now mature yet still fresh. Masculine, food friendly. Long life ahead. (89)

Tannins softer than mineral water, and a distinct note of moist forest floor and fiddlehead ferns. A little black raspberry cola and blood orange zest on the finish if you let your imagination run wild, but not really and honestly not really necessary.
It's pairing nicely with a hamburger and french fries from the bodega.
Not even kidding.
I'm moving so all my pots and pans are packed and I'm trying to make it through the last of the Eurocave... unlike the gentleman who owned the collection before me.

Was tannic and drying on opening, gave it a decant and this wine just transformed 180 degrees. Fruits came out with cherries and blackberries with cinnamon and truffles. Medium long length just beautiful

While my other bottles were all good this one was excellent. My best Gevrey village ever irrespctive of the vintage or producer. Very complex, still has fruits but also tuffles, animal and forest floor aromas with a long finish. Wine is in perfect balance.
