  • This is a great rosé that I recently brought to Ed's Potsticker house in Chicago. It was a great pairing with the soup dumplings with chili oil, and the smoked pork scallion pancakes with plum sauce. It worked wonderful with every dish. It is still so fresh, and it's strawberry earthy fruit, with just the perfect amount of sweetness balanced the chili oils. This bottle was drained quickly

  • Considerably fruitier (red berries, watermelon) and darker than its slightly pricier sibling La Londe, which I recall as drier, more vinous and mineral, and I think more classical. I preferred the latter, though my fiancee enjoyed this one too. I suspect this might be a good "Intro to Rosé" for a casual drinker of reds. Hopefully on night three I'll pick up some of brooklynguy's earthiness, which would make this more interesting to me.

  • the wine is great. It's mostly Cinsault and Grenache, with little bits of things like Syrah and Rolle (aka Vermentino). It has very pretty berry aromas, a metallic kind of mineral tone, and with some time open it has a very lovely earthy smell too - something that I think is part of what is wiped out of too many inexpensive rosés in an attempt to enhance their fruity character. The wine tastes great, it's balanced and pretty and very refreshing. It's got a lot of structure too, for an inexpensive little Provence rosé. Day 2 brings the earthy character to the forefront, which I must say is really interesting, and no less delicious as a rose.
