5-10 years too old to get adequate fruit, nice for an aged wine, good body and nice secondary notes that open well. Some sophisticated notes that I recall from perfectly aged chave

Especially red fruited and so young considering it’s age. Graphite, leather with good balance and acidity, really in a good place. Shame it’s my only bottle.

Medium garnet. Pronounced nose of dried black cherry and raspberry, touch of mint, cedar, dark chocolate, pencil shavings, leather, earth and forest floor. Dry, medium acidity, dissolved tannins, long finish. Lovely

This is declined by although still enjoyable. Drink up ASAP. At this point dried red fruit over funky fern. Decanting helps but as progresses loses more inciting aspects. Decant and the drink right away.

Strong fruit nose on decanting. Initially astringent but opened out after about an hour to reveal plum and slightly spicy blackcurrant. Overall though rather thin so suspect on a - hopefully slow - downward trajectory.
