Popped and poured. Followed over several hours. Cork was perfect. Holy shiitake mushrooms..... What have we here. This stopped me in my tracks.
Youthful red (not purple) color with 2-3mm meniscus. Awesome aged OR pinot nose with dank darker cherry must stank. Some mushroom, wet earth, cranberry. Palate showed decent tannins that waxed and waned. All kinds of funky Pinot secondaries. Light mouth feel. Great acidity. Just terrific wine. Light, ethereal aged beauty that may go 5 years, might even see its 20th....but could also break collapse along the way. One of the best aged Oregon pinot's I've had. Don't think it will have the same stuffing as the 92/95 Domaine Drouhin Laurene I've had before, but this is way more complex. Probably 95-96 points in my book
Disclaimer: I love white rose vineyard fruit.
Necking with the 96 Selyem Allen Vineyard Pinot for my WOTY 2015

bit oaky at first, on day 4, better integration, though nothing special, sweet, high-toned fruit

Others liked it even more. Elegant/seductive and very well integrated. Has a couple years left.
