  • I don't really get this wine. Mainly because, bizarrely, it has a strong nose of oak chips! This is repeated on the palate along with a typically austere German dry riesling acidity that has almost no (citrus) fruit characteristic. I think I'll stick to the more riper styles in future (kabinett, spatlese, auslese, etc.)

  • On the nose there's apple sauce, sweetened lemon, kerosene & vanilla ~ On the palate it's medium bodied with crisp acidity which is nicely balanced by the sweetness with flavours of lime, green apple & wet stones ~ Great value & an enjoyable wine

  • clear, pale yellow corn in color
    light to medium body
uninspiring nose: lemony zest, touch of petroleum (soapy)
-'Spritzy', medium finish, tart, lemony, high acidity-sour apple

Lacking some of the key characteristics i seek in a Riesling

Great name-an Homage to "the Fritz"
