just popped the first of six, and first of my 2011s. If this is any indication, the higher appellations should be very strong. Slightly thinner than their entry NSGs, but well integrated and good fruit-tannin balance for a villages. Cherry stones, flint and underbrush all present.

Youthful, a little rustic, good balance and length. Nose is reserved initially but opens after an hour, a very good Villages. Might wait a year for the next bottle but it's perfectly drinkable now and it's clearly well-made.

Not overly complex but it punches above its weight. Fresh, rich, slightly rustic but a pleasant and faithful representation of its terroir.
