Red fruit predominates, with some blackberry rounding things out. Just a hint of funk, medium concentration and acidity, tannins not really in evidence but some minerality is there. A nice wine, drinking well.
BevMo bargain bin diving. Worth it for 12 bucks, but not much more. Dark ruby color, oak and forest floor on the nose, but slight. A bit thin and unassuming on the palate. Wish there was more there there. Blandly peppery on the medium finish. Eh.
