Showing very well for a moderately priced OR pinot - engaging fruit with notes of loamy soil. Right in the pocket of its development; probably at peak now with a few years to go.

Better than anticipated for the price point. Medium bodied with a subtle spicy nose. Fruit forward, still some acidity here that leaves a cleanness on the palate - probably another year or two left. Not terribly complex but nicely balanced and quite enjoyable. Sadly, our last of the lot.

This was included in a blind tasting of nine wines -- eight burgundy grand crus plus this. Everyone knew what wines were in the tasting -- just not which wine was which. Among the 11 of us at the tasting, four guessed that this was the non-burg. I and a couple of others were adamant that this necessarily was a first-rate burgundy grand cru. I used very strong words, saying that it was absolutely ridiculous to think that this was anything but a first-rate burgundy. When we unveiled the wines at the end of the tasting, I had to eat crow.
This wine's nose was intense. On the palate, it had great length. Beautiful wine.

Fruit driven, clean and a rather refreshing impression. Oak perfectly integrated. Palate is nicely balanced but certainly fruit driven too. A lot of power here, but still on the elegant side. All things are in place. After a while acidity moves forward. Overall impression is positive.

Definitely over the hill. Fruit has dissipated largely and acid is kinda low. Not their fault, I let it languish in the cellar.
