Displaying a pale, translucent purple hue in the glass. After 30 minutes wine opened up and reveals a delightful aroma of cherries and sage. The palate is smooth yet light, exhibiting savory flavors. A lingering finish brings forth green vines and star anise notes, creating a slightly numbing sensation in the mouth, which is surprisingly enjoyable despite how that might sound. This wine offers an interesting tasting experience at this stage and look forward to revisting in a few years.

Light red purple. Light to medium body. On entry the gloss of a finely tuned ganache, the spice of Pinot Noir, and the savoury and spicy earth of Hunter Shiraz.
This 2011 Tyrrells 4 acres is an absolute joy to drink, it is still fresh and vibrant, with glossy cherry boiled candy and dried orange notes balancing the trademark perky Tyrells natural acid. Blood and iron and green pepper provide a slightly bitter finish that lasts for minutes.
It feels closed, young, on day two with much more to show. Many years ahead. Thank you Duck. Exceptional, drink now to 2035.

Light to medium bodied. Orange and red fruited, almost Nebbiolo like shape and tannins. Almost overwhelming green (capsicum and geranium) nose that I got used to over the couple of hours with the wine. Very structural and bony. Very different in style to the quite plump and juicy Vat 9 of the same vintage. 4.25/5.

bright acid line, too bright. Slightly imbalanced. Black cherry, rubber, earth. acid out of line. Falls a bit flat and short. A bit disappointing, had next to 07 and 17

Better than the last bottle in 2019.

Lovely. Still some acidity but some beautiful perfumes to accompany what is a light-medium bodied wine. No rush.
