Coppery red ruby. Nose of healthy fresh cut berry, saline, fragrant delicate violets, fine dirt, iron. Layers of iodine, dark sweet berry, piquant black cherry, and iron flecks on the palate. Freshening acidity and grounded fine tannin. Long finish of crisp, spicy dark red fruit amidst a foundation of powdered earth and iron. Most excellent with Copper River salmon.

This wine is still evolving. Decanted for about an hour and a half and was well rewarded. I did not experience a lean body as noted in a recent review. Pinot Noir fruit was ample and had a nice balance of fruit and mineral elements. Acidity is very present and could be distracting but this issue was resolved with the decant air time. This is an excellent food wine and stood up well to pork loin grilled over mesquite. I believe this wine has a few more years to integrate in the bottle. I wish I had a few more bottles.

Pretty nice. Pop and pour. I think it could have benefited from more air. Red berry fruit with a lot of strong earth flavors. Nicely balanced with a little bit of black pepper noticeable on the finish.

Leave in glass for 30 minutes. The wine is a bit lean. Pair with food carefully.
