  Huge balsamic notes on the nose, only upstaged by the huger maple syrup notes. Yes, maple syrup. Never encountered this in a red wine and everyone at the table concurred. The balsamico continues on the palate, with a blood orange complement, Dry, savory, and especially silky with a beautifully nuanced deft touch and etheric lightness. This shone an hour or so and then began to crack up. Drink up, and enjoy, this is magnificent, if a bit frail.
