  • Still going strong on the 2nd night, perhaps even improved. It had a good amount of sediment on decanting. Big nose of prunes, licorice and chocolate orange. Quite a savory mouth with bacon fat, salted plums and leather. Touch of charcoal in the finish is the one drawback. Good length with assorted berries. Excellent food wine. There is no hurry to drink this although I get the impression it may be over its peak.

  • Ever so slight bricking on the edge...seems much more youthful than its years. Simple nose of black cherry and leather with a hint of poblano pepper. Full and round in body with a medium length finish delivering a suggestion of cherry and vanilla. Nice stuff.

  • Excellent balance. Currants and leather. Still very full of youth with vibrant fruit. Did not hold up at all on second day when I went to finish the other half, bummer. Delicious wine, reminds me how much I love this bottling and that I don't need to spend so much to get really fine wine.
