Very nice, plenty of dark and red fruit, improved after 90minutes open. Nice finish. Fruit was nothing to compare with the '98 Kistler Cuvee Elizabeth we drank with Christmas dinner.

Hirsch Pinot Tasting. Darker red with a more closed nose, which improved over time. Excellent body with surprisingly good balance and a very long finish. This did not at all seem as old as it is; My 2nd group 1rst place.

Really impressive wine that shows lots of primary fruit balanced with good spice. Black cherry and red cherry on nose with black pepper, cinnamon and nutmeg. Same flavor profile continues on to the palate with reasonable acidity and balanced tannins. At a great place right now, I wouldn't hold this much longer because as the primary fruit fades, I would expect the alcohol to become more prominent.

Still had nice fruit and soft tannins despite its age in the bottle. Dark cherries and hints of spice on the palate.
