First tasting of 2017 with the normal group (SLC): Slightly floral nose, but not very expressive. The palate is tart cherry and cranberry and would work very well with food, on it's own its a bit too tart. Tannins are barely noticeable.

A disappointing Fleurie. Thick textured without any of the text book Fleurie fragrance and charm. Instead there was heavy slightly sweet and tired fruit with hints of prune and even banana, smooth acidity and a certain bitterness on the finish which I would have attributed to high alcohol if the label did not assert only 13%. More like undistinguished Languedoc than Beaujolais.

Don't let anyone tell you that fine Gamay can't age a few years. This was a very fine kick off to our 4th of July afternoon. Fine, juicy notes of red fruit and asian spice.

Outdoor picknick on a sunny spring day, went very easy with its elegant style that french wines are champions for.

This is fruity, fresh and vibrant, pretty one dimensional, but easy drinking at 13-14 deg.
