Glass: Zalto Bordeaux Popped and poured. Nice, developing Rioja nose, not overly too complex. On the palate also very uncomplicated. Still a nice fruit, velvet tannin and texture, good length. Nothing special, easy drinking. 88

The nose is a mix of dark plums, rosemary and a touch of spice. The palate is also plummy on the attack but transitions fairly quickly to a mix of woody spices and herbs. The finish is a fine balance of alcohol heat (14.5% after all), clean acidity and medium tannins. All in all, a very elegant, though not so complex, Rioja.

Rien d'exceptionnel.

Weekly tasting group RWP #330; Spain; Priorat, Rioja or Ribeira del Duero (@ JdB): In the bouquet chocolate and vanilla as well as some cinnamon. On the palate elegant red berries, vanilla, pleasant acidity and very smooth tannin. Not extremely concentrated.

Sehr balancierter Wein mit schönem duftigen Bukett.
Allerdings fehlt etwas die klassische Rioja-Typizität.
