30 minute decant. Deep inky purple color. Aromas of black cherry, smoke, red berries, pepper and herbs. Palate is medium bodied stone fruit, red berries, with savory spice and mineral notes. Tannins are soft and resolved. A touch of acid makes for a nice finish.

This is an excellent blend of rocks syrah and cabernet. The funk is subtle but present. There is a nice marriage of the two, with the result being more on the savory side. These Buty library purchases are proving to be quite a find!

Showing nice fruit on opeing but faded a little bit after a couple of hours. Really dig this Syrah/Cab blend. My Last bottle…recommend enjoying now and not keeping it in the cellar much longer.

(Buty Rediviva of the Stones 65% Syrah 31% Cabernet Sauvignon 4% Mourvedre Walla Walla Valley) Surprisingly quiet when first popped, it slowly opens to reveal moist earth, peat, herbs, peppery spices, pencil lead, cherry, and a light earthy funk that grows each moment in the glass. Much more savory than sweet, it’s soft, textured and pillowy in feel with an elegant styling that stands in contrast to the shimmering depth of the flavors, peppered with spice notes. Those looking for big bold fruit, look elsewhere. 65% Syrah, 31% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 4% Mourvèdre. Aged 14 months in predominantly neutral puncheons and barrels. 13.7% alcohol. 242 cases produced. Sample provided by winery.
(Buty Rediviva of the Stones) Saturated very dark ruby color; lifted, aromatic, green peppercorn, tar, tart berry, anise nose; tight, green peppercorn, black fruit, tar, roasted black fruit, charcoal, pepper, mineral palate; needs 3-4 years; medium-plus finish (65% Syrah, 31% Cabernet Sauvignon, 4% Mourvedre; 13.7% alcohol)

This bottle was a little tired and not on point as I was expecting. The fruit was a bit falling apart. Still a pleasurable experience.
