2nd time I have had this wine. 30 year old vines with a mix of Pommard, Dijon 114 and Dijon 777 clones. 625 cases produced. Not decanted. Drinking very well at 10 years old and no signs of fading. 2012 was an excellent year in Oregon which produced long lived Pinot. The only previous Cannary Hill that I had was the 2000. This 2012 was better. Notes of black cherries, baking spices and pomegranate. Fuller body with a rich texture. 92 points.

I opened a 12 Guadalupe and Shea from the same producer, Day 2 showed best for both but I was underwhelmed to say the least. But this! I popped and poured, very earthy and a lot of secondary and tertiary flavors. Fruit has faded in the best way possible. Glad I have another!

Drink up... raisiny, pomegranate, cranberry, very red fruited. Acid low to mid. Probably requires a meal to drink at best. Abc is mid 13, but feels more higher. Actual abv on label is 12.5% so basically fruit has faded faster than the alcohol. If you like 13.8-14% abv, this Pinot is for you. (375 ml size)

Good and consistent; not much development. Very ripe fruit with some baking spice, and a bit of earth and floral notes. The palate is rich and ripe, definitely new world pinot, but has pretty good balance and is quite enjoyable to drink. Should continue to develop well for at least 5-7 years.
