Opened a bottle expecting it to be on the downturn, but was surprised that it was still alive and kicking. Rich/lush tannins with dark red fruit. A good wine that has another year or two left at this stage.

Decanted >1 hour. Similar to past comments. Only 37% Cab but wow! The Cab definitely overpowered the Merlot. Pepper, spice and earth with robust red fruit. This wine is drinking excellent. Tannins were still there but couldn’t put this down.

In a good place right now. Some cherry, some raspberry, some blueberry, oak, and a bit of earth. Tannins let you know they’re there, but they’re well integrated. Medium finish.
