Bright red-purple color with lavender rim. Starts tight, needed decanting. Lighter than other vintages I have had. Good pepper, fruit, spice. Needs a couple more years.

Lovely fresh, fruity and vibrant wine. Dark berries, rose petals and spices on the nose. Juicy mouthfeel with sweet and sour cherries. A bit short and lacks some structure, but has a nice and acidic finish.

A private lunch (Restaurant De Librije ***, Zwolle, Netherlands): 100% Syrah, from vineyards just outside the Côte Rôtie AOP, clay and schist soils, raised in large old oak barrels. Wonderfully lifted aromas of flowers and spice, bright cherry fruit, supple and mineral, smoke, very energetic, light but intense, primary yet subtle, flavoursome; very good length. Quite amazing for what it is.

Aerated an hour in decanter. Ruby red colour with a purple edge. Dark berryfruits, pepper and black olives. Juicy and fruit driven. Somewhat jammy on the palate. Medium acidity and soft tannins. It had a kind of light bitterish aftertaste. Medium body and structure. Very nice QPR CdR.

Très bon mais gagnera à être attendu quelques années (entre 3 et 5 ans).
