Thick, rich, golden-hued wine with over-ripe honeysuckle aroma. The wine is incredibly smooth and complex, and the finish is surprisingly long. Tastes of musky honey with a lingering vanilla aftertaste. In all likelihood this wine reached its peak a couple of years ago, but is still very enjoyable. I would drink any inventory now; this wine is still delicious-but it won't keep.
Very Floral with violet and exotic fruit., but not nearly as forward now as in previous years. A bit heavier and dense than I would have expected but overall lacking the clean vibrancy of previous years and other vintages. I would drink this up.
Never got around to drinking this bottle and figured it was shot. Boy, was I wrong. Nice, rich aromatics with orchid florals, cardamon and resins. Thick body, wraps around the tongue. Good bright acidity with green papaya and star fruit like character. Maybe some lychee there too. A bit of oily notes and glyercin reveal the high levels of ripeness here. Soft finish with mellow caramelized fruit notes. Really delicious and enjoyable with a torte and salad. Had definite Condrieu elements hiding in a big pretty (but atypique) package.
