  • Tasted at Zambrano Wine Cellar where a taste or two was given to me by Trey who bought the bottle. What a unique gift! Definitely not past the drink window - this was a dessert wine that poured very dense, almost mead-ish. The wine itself was hugely floral, with honeysuckle, lilac, jasmine notes that danced around, but the honeysuckle was the primary flavor. The wine was very nicely balanced and not overly sweet. There was no tart characteristic that some of these wines will impart. This would go excellently with a creme brulee or banana pudding.

  • Chicago Wine Geeks do Italy (sans Tuscany or Piedmont ) (Chicago, IL): Nose has orange zest aromas but not much else. Palate is quite enjoyable --- liquid creme brulee. Candied orange and citrus fruit. Burnt vanilla and orange marmalade. Nice finish. Good but not worth the tariff. (4+12+16+6=88).
