  • Elegant and refined. Drunk after the 2011 Brao which is a powerhouse. Still a big wine but more delicate - if one could call Garnatxa that. Tannins are so smooth with classic jammy fruit.

  • The wine was intense, dark ruby in colour and offered dark flowers, blue and black fruit, cocoa, spices, liquorice and smoke on the nose. On the palate the full-bodied wine showed red, blue and black fruit, cassis, dark cherry, coffee, cocoa and tobacco, supplemented by medium spiciness, a mineral touch and a pleasant bitter note, with medium-level acidity, medium to medium-plus, fine, slowly building tannin, some heat from the high alcohol (15% ABV) and superb length. A very good wine that would be even more enjoyable if the alcohol was in check...
