Elegant and refined. Drunk after the 2011 Brao which is a powerhouse. Still a big wine but more delicate - if one could call Garnatxa that. Tannins are so smooth with classic jammy fruit.

The wine was intense, dark ruby in colour and offered dark flowers, blue and black fruit, cocoa, spices, liquorice and smoke on the nose. On the palate the full-bodied wine showed red, blue and black fruit, cassis, dark cherry, coffee, cocoa and tobacco, supplemented by medium spiciness, a mineral touch and a pleasant bitter note, with medium-level acidity, medium to medium-plus, fine, slowly building tannin, some heat from the high alcohol (15% ABV) and superb length. A very good wine that would be even more enjoyable if the alcohol was in check...
