Dark cherry colour with some opacity. No bricking. Nose is plums and cherry licorice. Not overly complex and it has some alcohol heat. Fruit is predominant on the palate, good acid, no oak and not a lot of tannins. Good secondary development notes and a medium finish. Quite tasty but probably time to drink.

This was a great bottle, well balanced, just beginning to hit its tertiary stride. Fruit was solidly present. Will try to search out more.

Still a dark, monumental brambly wine, but without the nuance I recalled from an earlier bottle.
