Perhaps the best 2004 Clos de Gat Ayalon Valley I've ever tasted. Dark opaque red-brown colour Intense ripe-fruity-earthy aromas with notes of chocolate, spices, cedar and light tobacco Excellent harmony, firm integrated tannins, still a pleasant amount of ripe fruitiness, though much less than I experienced during the last 5 years, rich chocolate-earthy flavours with notes of spices and delicate wood. Long finish of a great Judean Hills wine, a full bodied wine that is, still, in great shape and is very much enjoyable.
