Palate is lighter than expected, then a nice full red purple fruit richness w/o being heavy. The oak and tannins well integrated now. This is a delightful wine.

  2nd Gastronomy Fair 2014; 3/30/2014-3/31/2014 (Intercontinental Hotel): Clear deep ruby color.
  The nose is clean, med+ intensity, rich red fruit character, opulent, nutmeg, heady, prunes and tobacco, sour cherry, fresh and a bit closed, cigar box, wet earth, liquorice, developing.
  The wine is dry, med body and intensity, med+ alcohol (14.50%) and acidity, med+ tannins that are round and juicy, opulent rich black fruit character, plums, black currant, well structured, alcohol bite, rich med+ finish.
  Outstanding quality, premium price drinking now but could hold. An intellectual to sit back and enjoy

  Not many people know about this wine, but after having sampled it 4 times this year I can easily say it is a hidden gem and an absolute powerhouse. The nose is welcoming, sweet blackberry with licorice and spice. The flavour sits around and has a tea party on your tongue long after each sip, all with stunning precision and balance.
