Post EdShereen late night session at home. Drank in Grassl Cru. Appearance is clear, pale intensity, ruby colour. Legs. Nose is clean, medium+ intensity, with aromas of Chinese herbs, touch of green grassiness, red cherries getting a little dry. Developed. On the palate, dry, high acidity, medium alcohol (13.5%), medium tannins, medium body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of sweet Chinese herbs, red berries, red cherries slightly drying out, dark minerally earth. Finishes well with a long finish of enveloping flavours on the tongue. Very good quality. A 2011 that I appreciate. Fruit in danger of drying out soon in the next 2 years possibly. Good time to drink up.

"Light" red, Floral / Red Berry Aromas , good fruit with medium weight and a mineral expression, excellent length with a peppery finish. Should still improve from some years of cellaring.

Really punchy, spicy, floral nose bursting with violets and rose petal notes. It has good flesh up front with excellent detail of red berry and black cherry fruits. It tightens through the palate and has some cooler green notes towards the back end finishing with a light pepperiness. I like the wine's brightness and fidelity.
