  • I think, sadly, these 13s have seen better days - I'm really feeling at this point, there will not be any upside in aging these. On PnP, muted, thin, green flavors. With about 1hr of air, it put on a touch of weight in the glass. The green morphed into lighter dusty renditions of Asian spices - duck 5-spice, hoison, soy. Fruit barely hanging on by a clip. There's an intellectual side to these I suppose - fun swirling and smelling. The flavors are there as well but at a much lower amplitude. Became a bit more interesting on days #2,3.

  • Wonderfully expressive nose. There's some floral spice, sandalwood, blue fruits and cranberry. In the mouth it has plenty of flesh and outstanding detail. It is rocky and pure with great posture. It has so much finesse yet there's latent power just below the surface.
