Decanted for two+ hours. Plum, mint and dark fruit aromas with spicy, peppery undertones. Plum, red berries, blueberry and roasted game flavors. Integrated and balanced and drinking very well at the moment.

Blind tasted and not decanted. Only very light bricking to the color did not indicate its age. Strong alcohol with red berries (raspberries particularly) and a forest floor element. A bizarre tasting experience in the mouth since at the same time there are cherries, bonbons, bright acidity but also a very persistent creamy taste and texture (American oak?) which unfortunately dominates the palate and the alcohol is quite strong. I was completely lost in trying to divine the origin - the creamy oak seemed to mask any attempt at expressing the Filsell site but on a more positive note this wine is aging well and will probably be more interesting somewhere further down the line when the oak has had a chance to integrate better and allow the terroir to come out. The tasting window is completely wrong based on this bottle and I would guess it will go another decade perhaps. Thanks GG!

Medium dark ruby color starting to brown a tiny but on the edges. Pretty nose that shows some black and red fruit along with some mediteranean herbs like rosemary and sage. Some mocha notes as well as some feral tones. On the palate the wine has good weight and texture with no noticable tannin. There is a slight note of acidifcition that otherwise would garner a few more points.
