With Jazz & Laura. Sweet blueberries and tobacco on the nose, very glossy, liquid palate with sweet smoke & Eucalypt finish. Can taste the Bush. Slight mushroom-y note emerged on the nose over time, suggesting it might be past its best, but the label spoke of it having 12-15 years ahead of it so not sure if age could be the problem. Still enjoyable, although apparently not as good/full-bodied as Jazz's prev bottle.

(Brunner: Queen's Bday slow-bbq with Mich&Bo, et al) Dark rich nose of sweet leather and earth. Dark berries, earth and garrigue, with spicy mint. Tea sweetness on the finish. Good structure and density, drinking very well now.

Rich inky dark in the glass, with the nose similarly inky, chockfuls of dark berries and even cocoa powder. Congruent tastes, focused, rich and jammy berries, with a strong, grippy tannin structure. Bit of metal and sweetness on the end, but not much else. Young.

Decanted, not much sediment. Dark colour, chocolate, vanilla and plums nose. Lots of everything, still plenty of fruit and the oak seems to have integrated well. Arguably better on the second evening.
