  After waiting a few,this wine is pretty fab. Deep garnet color, with faint hint of orange. The nose shows cherries and plums with spices and an interesting grassy touch. On the palate, red fruits, earth notes, bright but deep flavors and elegant texture. Finishes with near zero tannins and a plummy flavor. This one paid off the extra time in the cellar.

  The cedar and clove dominate the nose now. And the tannins have shown up, in a pleasant manner, a nice chalkiness, for lack of a better word. Still qualifies as "juicy", but now it also tastes mature and solid, just a near-canonical representation of Sangiovese.

  Decanted 1 hr. ahead. Pretty ruby with a bit of blue. Nice nose of cherries, cedar, and clove, and cranberry. Crisp and delicious on the palate, as spices lead over red fruits in a juicy and light-medium body. Finishes well, with another blast of spices, juicy fruit acids, and near-zero tannins. This wine is pretty exuberant right now, lively and delicious. It may improve with a couple of years in the bottle. This wine challenges the 100 point scale. Is it "outstanding" or "extraordinary"? No. Is it excellent? Yes, in a certain sort of ingratiating, delicious way.
