Showing more maturity than I expected. Wine from an auction so I don't know how it has been kept. However; the earthy matarity is nice. Not very much fruit but with good acidity.

Great with a steak of the BBQ. Spice and wood, still some tannin and good balance. Bottle was opened and poured, no decanting or chance or aeration. Still had some life in it, but needed to be treated with the respect due an aging grande-dame

Do not linger over this wine. Opened fresh and poured to enjoy with lamb. Fruity, herbal, delicious. Close, and other spices on the nose. As it ages, it starts to fade, so drink over the next few months without decanting and absolutely no aeration! This wine is an old friend, enjoy it while it is here.

slight browning at edges, delicate and developing vegetal nose. Very light on palate with strong cherry characteristics. Slight acidity. Began to deteriorate after half an hour in glass (decanted one hour before). Needs drinking.
