  • Light crunchy floral notes. Medium plus acidity. Green apple. Some richness here. Some beeswax. Medium finish. Very nice and excellent value at Berns for 21.95

  • Color was a pale yellow-green. Viscous for sure, but it didn't really coat my mouth like some other reviewers. Nose was very floral, very pleasant, with strong rose, honeysuckle, and maybe something vaguely fruity like orange blossoms. I totally get the comparison to Gewurztraminer. Palette was spicy, as it should be, with a fair bit of brightness early on fading to generic floral-ness later. Seems like there was something else trying to come through, but we couldn't pick it out. Taste was kind of a letdown after the great bouquet. Finish was average and floral.

This is a wine that has been described here as "unrefined," or similar. That is kind of true, but for a South American varietal done in Argentina, it seems fitting.

  • Think about it: 9 bucks for this very quafable wine. Had some before dinner and with roasted salmon and broccoli. Floral, apricot/citrus tastes, slight citrus, almost gewurtz-like. No big deal, yet quite pleasant. Did I mention the people who like to go down to my cellar and take out the Rombauers to quaff? 9 bucks. I need to keep 2 or 3 bottles around to placate my good friends who drink booze. Also want to try with mussels.

  • Light, yet an oily mouth feel. Floral with grapefruit notes and some tropical over-tones. Short finish. Need to try some other producers of this grape. It's an in-expensive bottle and it tastes a bit watery (but very good for the price). There is an after-taste that lingers that isn't completely desirable, like of like a sour melon. Would go much better than food than as a sipping wine on the back porch.
