The Alamos Torrontes has a light body and a pale, burnished gold color. The nose has aromas of mango, peach blossom and subtle hints of lychees. The mouth feel has a nice heft with tastes of pineapple and mango, along with a bitter peach stone component. The medium length finish is comprised of mango and more peach stone. This wine has moved beyond its lively and exuberant youth bursting with acidity to an older, slower, more rounded wine with richer flavors and complexity. Still, this is beyond its prime.

PnP. Clear with green tint. Both the nose and taste were very thin. Even at this price, the wine was disappointing. Very non descript, watery, extremely light, no fruit. Nothing really off, just not very inspiring, no body. Probably over the top more than anything else. Don't bother.

(Alamos Torrontes) #1; COLOR-medium golden; NOSE-citrus excitement (lemon/lime) rounded out w/ floral & Car Wash soap components; honeycomb & honey; pineapples, mango & papaya; worth $8 on the bouquet alone; TASTE-really nice razor sharp acidity on the back-end; a little too much alcohol; great gooseberry components; heavy on the hay meets honey meets citrus; beautiful mouthfeel; very lively; very clean & crisp; nice wine; GV-88

Light and florally. Had lost most of its distinctive Torrontes aroma. Past its prime.

Light golden color, citrus notes. Some acidity in there. A fairly simple wine but a good one.
